Did the Glenthorne Grassland project succeed or fail? The answer is both. Completely and unapologetically both.

The results have been mixed and meaningful. Some areas have thrived; others remain stubbornly weedy. Yet across the site, hundreds of thousands more native plants now exist than before - a clear shift in the ecological baseline. This project was never about achieving a perfect end point; it’s about understanding how living systems evolve, and how we can guide them with care, timing, and restraint.
